Easter thoughts: Day 3 – Peter

Simon Peter said he would lay down his life for Jesus, but Jesus knew Peter would deny Him 3 times. And Peter didn’t think that would be possible. I can only imagine when that rooster crowed that last time after Peter saying “I do not know this man”… Peter must have felt so bad. It says he weeped bitterly. Yet, Jesus rose from the dead and met his disciples again and he restored Peter, and He ask Peter three time do you love me. Peter was grieved he had to say it a third time.
And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.”

Jesus restores us too, no matter what we have done, He is willing and able to forgive us. John reminds us with these words in 1 John 1:9… If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
