Roughly twice a month the men at DCF meet together to look at a topic and how it relates to us, and most importantly look to see what the Bible has to say. The study is led by Pete Smith (one of our Elders), and the meetings are informal in nature and a great opportunity for everyone to contribute and discuss the topic in hand. The Bible has so much to say about how we should live as men, so there is never a shortage of discussion, and as such these evenings can be a real source of encouragement to each other.
But speak you the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
– Titus 2:1-2
Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. In all things shewing yourself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
– Titus 2:6-8
