Proverbs 26:1-27:27

This study is part of our series of verse by verse studies of Proverbs, the 20th book in the Bible. Taught by Sim Forder, one of our pastors, at our Sunday morning service on the 28th November 2021. You can watch or listen on this web page or save the audio for later listening.

Summary of this study

These chapters, written by Solomon and set in order by men of Hezekiah, deal with various topics – from foolishness, laziness, contentiousness and deceit, to correction, friendship and diligence. As such, our hearts and attitudes are key – will we honour God by the way we live, and by the way we work? Will we honour Him by the way we talk to others, and talk of others? Are we prepared to eliminate gossip from our lives?

Application questions

  • Are we being the friends we should be?
  • Are we able to receive, as well as give correction?
  • Are we lazy in our work, home life or service of God?
