Proverbs 20:1-21:31

This study is part of our series of verse by verse studies of Proverbs, the 20th book in the Bible. Taught by Sim Forder, one of our pastors, at our Sunday morning service on the 7th November 2021. You can watch or listen on this web page or save the audio for later listening.

Summary of this study

Here in these chapters, Solomon addresses our relationship to alcohol, our willingness to work, our integrity, and our need to get counsel from others. And along the way, he points out that our reputation starts young! And even as we grow in years, we are known by not only what we say, but also but what we do. If we say we love God, that should be evident in our lives.

Application questions

  • Are you lazy, or do you put effort into work and ministry?
  • Do you ask other Christian’s for their counsel?
  • Do you worship God (in your life and song) rightly?
