Naham, Habakkuk & Zephaniah

This study is the third part of a series looking at the Minor Prophets, found in the Old Testament. Taught by Pete Smith, one of our elders, at our Sunday morning service on the 23rd January 2022. You can watch or listen on this web page or save the audio for later listening.

Summary of this study

Nahum prophecies the fall of Ninevah, around 100 years after Jonah had delivered his message, dealing with the wider Assyrian empire too – while Habakkuk and Zephaniah both deliver their message to the southern kingdom of Judah. Habakkuk asks God the common question we have – how long will this immoral state of the nation continue? But God is not without a plan. God’s message delivered by Zephaniah deals with the corruption taking place in Judah – and while judgement will take place, there will be a faithful remnant that God will save.
