Simply teaching the Bible, simply

Hosea, Joel & Amos

This study is the second part of a series looking at the Minor Prophets, found in the Old Testament. Taught by Pete Smith, one of our elders, at our Sunday evening service on the 9th January 2022. You can watch or listen on this web page or save the audio for later listening.

Summary of this study

Hosea is a prophet to the northern kingdom of Israel, and his personal marriage to an unfaithful wife is used to symbolise Israel’s unfaithfulness to God, despite all He has done for her. Whereas Joel focusses on the future judgement of the southern kingdom of Judah. Joel again speaks to Israel, and in this account we see how prayer changed things then – just as it will today.
