This week we looked at Acts 2:42 which records the foundations upon which the early church was built, and we continued from our previous study by taking a look at what Christian fellowship is.

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Below is a brief outline of the study, which noted 12 marks of Christian fellowship that we find spoken of and demonstrated in the Bible:

• Studying the Bible together (1 Corinthians 4:17, 2 Timothy 2:1-2)
• Growing in patience and unity (Ephesians 4:1-3)
• Forgiving one another (Matthew 18:35)
• Corporate worship (Colossians 3:16, Ephesians 5:19)
• Comforting one another (1 Thessalonians 4:18, 1 Thessalonians 5:11)
• Loving one another (1 John 4:20, 1 Thessalonians 4:9)
• Submitting to one other (Ephesians 5:21)
• Serving one another (Philippians 2:1-4, Galatians 5:13-15, Ephesians 4:15-16)
• Stirring up to good works (Hebrews 10:24-25)
• Not divided by age (1 Peter 5:5-6, Titus 2:3-8)
• No partiality (James 2:1-4)
• Praying (James 5:16, 1 Peter 5:14)
