Christmas Day!

Happy Christmas! How’s your Christmas Day going? Good, I hope. But you know there’s always something that does’t quite go to plan. Maybe it’s an underwhelming amount of sprouts at the dinner table, or the day runs late and you miss a TV show you’d hoped to see, or maybe the snow fails show (actually that happens every year, right?!).

Whether in the details or the bigger picture of the day, we might well conclude there’s no such thing as a perfect Christmas! But actually, there was. And that was that first Christmas where Jesus was born as a baby in Bethlehem. An innocent boy, who would grow into an innocent man, that we might be seen as innocent too. That year, everything happened exactly as it had been foretold for generation after generation. It wasn’t about trees, or lights, or tinsel. But simply that God had sent His only Son, that whoeverbelieves in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

No matter the Christmas Day you’re having. There is hope, peace and joy to be found in Jesus — why? Because He has paid for your sin, that you might not have to. If this is the first time you’ve heard this, or first time you’ve really given it thought, then do something about it. Ask questions, come along to one of our services, or get in touch via email to hello@dcf.church

Have a very happy Christmas Day. Make it a good New Year by finding out more about the best thing that ever happened. Some things aren’t too good to be true.
