In a world that is so focussed on possessions, we can often feel like we’re lacking. More than that, there are many that struggle to put food on the table and pay the bills — maybe that includes you. But Jesus is not unfamiliar with our struggles, for He wasn’t born in a palace, but into a poor family. We even read in the Bible that He faced all the temptation that we do, but He did so without sinning once. And that perfect life that He led, allowed Him to offer Himself as a sacrifice for us — literally giving His life for us, that we might be forgiven, solving our biggest problem.

But now, having risen from the dead, He will build His kingdom, not based on riches or power, but on love. And if we put our faith and trust in Him, then forgiveness is one thing we will not lack.
