Have you ever thought about how much time some people spend putting Christmas wreathes, lights or decorations on the outside of our house – for others to see them.  Of course, there’s nothing wrong in that – it really adds to the sense of anticipation in the run up to Christmas, it makes it a special time of year and can create a sense of community, of shared experience.

But what goes on inside those homes is more important, right?!  Well, that’s much like our lives. We can easily get sucked into doing things to impress others, with flashy phones, cars, houses or whatever. But what is going on in our heart?  That’s what matters.  This Christmas, may we each consider where our hearts stand before God.
