2 Corinthians 3:1-4:6

This study is part of our series of verse by verse studies of 2 Corinthians, the 47th book in the Bible. Taught by Sim Forder, one of our pastors, at our Sunday evening service on the 20th February 2022. You can watch or listen on this web page or save the audio for later listening.

Summary of this study

As we begin this third chapter of Paul’s letter, he says; we are not strangers to you, that we need an introduction or recommendation. If you’re looking for fruit in our lives and ministry – then you’re it!! But furthermore, this isn’t a message we’ve made up – but one we’re simply being faithful to share.

Next, he contrasts the law and grace – showing that there really is no comparison, and that the result of grace is this transformation of our lives. Not through our own efforts, but through God working in us. Even our ministry is from God. Therefore, we are not discouraged. We do not lose heart. Why? Because this is not manmade religion that says “do”. It’s the completed work of Christ which says “done”.
