Overview of this study

John makes it clear that keeping God’s commandments is a way that we can know we are saved – not because we’re earning our salvation, but because keeping God’s commandments is evidence of our salvation. As James writes in his letter, we show our faith by our works. But God’s commandments are not only about what we should do, but what we should refrain from doing too.

• Do you keep His commandments?
• Do you know what His commandments are? (how many of the 800 can you list?)
• Do you love the world? (if you spend more time checking social media than His Word this week, then I suggest something is wrong)
