Little Livewires is for 5-7 year olds and usually meets every term time Friday from 5pm until 5:50pm
This club is for the younger children – in school years Reception/Year 1/Year 2 – and has been running since January 2006. It takes place in the hall at DCF, with numbers are limited to 20 children in order to give enough time to each child. In the September each year, when the children reach school year 3, they can join our Livewires club (for 7-11’s / school years 3-6).
The activities are structured in a way that makes them different from Livewires club, so that children moving from one club to the next will find enough of a change to be exciting and challenging, and the rules are the same as for Livewires (as they work!).
After registration (subs are 50p) the children begin with a game until all have arrived. Activities include a mix of craft, colouring, games, talks and songs. There is a story and action songs each week which the children love, and each week a child is given the chance to say a prayer, saying thank you to God for something.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
