Proverbs 24:1-25:28

This study is part of our series of verse by verse studies of Proverbs, the 20th book in the Bible. Taught by Sim Forder, one of our pastors, at our Sunday morning service on the 21st November 2021. You can watch or listen on this web page or save the audio for later listening.

Summary of this study

In these two chapters, Solomon has much to say of our treatment of others. We should watch out for the needs of others, treat others fairly (not looking for what we can get from them), and never be slanderous of them. Neither are we to be jealous of others, or take them to court unnecessarily – as Christians, we should be less focussed on winning, and more on loving.

Application questions

  • Are you envious of evil men? Have you got your perspective right?
  • Are you building your spiritual strength now, or will you faint in the day of adversity?
  • Are you focussed more on winning, or loving?
  • Are you showing care and compassion to those in need of it?
