There are no two ways about it — Christians believe in something remarkable, for we believe that Jesus rose from the dead. And it’s not a baseless belief, for over 500 people at once saw Jesus alive again. His disciples, who were eyewitnesses of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrected body, were so certain of this great truth, that they didn’t deny it even when faced with death (and all but one of them were killed for what they believed).
But being a Christian is far more than acknowledging the facts. It is turning away from our sin, plus believing and accepting that Jesus’ death and resurrection took place in order to pay for our sin, so that we might not have to pay for it ourselves when one day we stand in front of God as our judge.
This central event of human history changes everything – but will it change you?
