Death somehow seems more tragic this time of year. Yet it is always tragic. And Christmas can be hard, no matter how long it’s been since we lost a loved one.

But the good news of Christmas is that death will no longer be the winner in all this. Because Jesus came to earth as a baby, lived a perfect life, and died to pay for our sin, we can have eternal life. And furthermore, in rising from the dead, Jesus defeated death itself.

The Bible confidently declares that one day, “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” But while Jesus has done everything needed to save us, and give us this great hope, you and I each need to personally put our faith and trust in Him. So, will you?
