This study is part of our series of verse by verse studies of 2 Corinthians, the 47th book in the Bible. Taught by Sim Forder, one of our pastors, at our Sunday evening service on the 20th March 2022. You can watch or listen on this web page or save the audio for later listening.
Summary of this study
In chapters 8 & 9 Paul writes on a topic we’re not always comfortable be taught on – and that is giving. But one reason we may be uncomfortable is the reality that we don’t give as we could, or even as we should. In our previous study (8:1-7) we were prompted to give our all, and in this study we see Jesus set out as our example. In the case of the Corinthian church, they were instructed to give as they had previously promised to do – to honour that commitment – but with the promise that they’ll reap what they sow. As will we.
